Why Pionite?
HPL (high-pressure laminate) combines decorative papers saturated in melamine resin with phenolic-impregnated kraft layers at pressures exceeding 1000 psi (6.9 MPa) and temperatures approaching 300˚F (150˚C). After trimming and sanding the backs for better bonding, the laminate's thickness is determined by the number of kraft layers employed. This laminating process perfectly blends the durability of melamine resins with the aesthetic appeal of decorative papers, resulting in a time-tested surfacing material that has remained the industry standard for many years.
Typical Uses
Pionite® standard laminate is versatile and suitable for horizontal, vertical, or postforming applications. It finds widespread use on countertops, tables, vanities, interior doors, cabinets, feature walls, contract furniture, and retail store fixtures.
Care and Maintenance
Pionite® decorative laminate offers long-lasting durability and easy maintenance with simple, everyday care. In most cases, cleaning with a solution of warm water and liquid dishwashing detergent is sufficient to preserve its beauty. For stubborn stains, non-abrasive household cleaners like FORMULA 409®, GLASS PLUS®, or WINDEX® with AMMONIA D® can be used. Some textured surfaces may require light scrubbing with a soft-bristled brush to remove stains from the structure's depth.
